Shazam, Leonardo & Barrington
Meet Our Team
Our team is exclusively focused on cats, understanding their unique needs. We stay informed and educated in all aspects of cat care, including behavioural nuances. By prioritizing continuous learning and specialization, we can offer personalized care tailored to each cat’s individual needs.
Our sitters are valued employees and supported members of our team — not contractors — so you can count on consistency, accountability, and ongoing training. Each sitter is carefully selected, background-checked, bonded, and trained to our high standards in Cat’s Pyjamas methods as well as Fear Free methods, Feline First Aid and CPR.
When you entrust your cat family to Cat’s Pyjamas, you’re not just hiring a sitter — you’re welcoming carefully chosen, compassionate caregivers into your cat family’s trusted circle.

Meet Raisa
CAT SITTER & OWNER
If a cat meows, Raisa jumps. That instinct led her to found Cat’s Pyjamas in 2015 after realizing that most pet sitting businesses in Toronto were centred around dogs and didn’t really understand cats. Raisa created Cat’s Pyjamas to give Midtown Toronto cats a service created just for them with their needs in mind.
Known for her natural connection with cats (and her compulsion to please them), Raisa still does evening visits while running the office and supporting her team.
Away from the office, Raisa gardens with her cats as supervisors, enjoys music, dancing and paddleboarding, and follows a plant-based lifestyle rooted in love for all animals and the earth.
Fun fact: The cats turned out to be excellent gardening supervisors — especially when a giant catnip plant appeared out of nowhere.

Meet Mitch
CAT SITTER & OWNER
Mitch joined Cat’s Pyjamas in 2016 so he wouldn’t miss out on the feline fun — and now he does the lion’s share of visits. Known for his warmth and quick wit, Mitch has a way of making both cats and their parents feel at ease. Mitch quickly became famous among clients for his humourous visit reports.
When Mitch moved in with Raisa back in their university days, the first thing he wanted to do was adopt a cat. Then another, and another, and another — until four cats ruled the home. That was the first feline generation; now the “second wave” are beloved seniors and super-seniors.
Mitch can’t resist making life a little brighter, whether that means strumming a guitar, singing to a cat, or whipping up the perfect plant-based dinner.
Fun fact: Believes cats secretly enjoy his cat dad jokes.

Meet Barrington
OFFICE CAT
Barrington is our friendly office cat and greeter. He can often be found relaxing on the front porch, welcoming visitors, deliveries and pretty much anyone willing to stop and say hello.
Barrington has never met a snack he didn’t like and and figures insulin shots are a reasonable trade for treats. He has even been spotted making surprise appearances at local community cat feeding stations — once while wearing a t-shirt and glucose monitor, making it impossible to deny it was him.
